PDMP checks required before prescribing schedule II controlled substances

Effective January 1, 2022, Oregon Health Plan providers are required to check the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) prior to prescribing schedule II controlled drugs. If a provider is unable to check the PDMP, they must document their efforts, including reasons why they were unable to conduct the check. The complete rule is available here.
