Selynn Edwards of Clackamas Health Centers Granted Patriot Award

Dr. Selynn Edwards, DMD, Dental Director of Clackamas Health Centers was presented with the Patriot Award at the April 19, 2022 Board of County Commissioner meeting.  The Patriot Award is given to companies and employers for their support of employees who are in the reserve military.

An employee serving in the National Guard or Reserve may nominate individual supervisors and bosses for support provided directly to the nominating Service member and his or her family. The Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support citizen soldiers through a wide range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed.

Dr. Casey Norlin, the staff member who nominated Dr. Edwards for the award, said “I wanted to show appreciation for how the county treats its armed service members who are employees. They have been extremely patient and accommodating for me while serving in the Oregon Army National Guard, especially considering the recent worldwide and local events.”

Thank you to Dr. Edwards for your contributions and thank you to Dr. Norlin for your service!
